Mr. Tynan joined the Wladis Law Firm after a twenty-seven year career with the New York State Police as a Trooper and Investigator, and also brings with him a wealth of experience in labor and government relations derived during his tenure as President of the New York State Police Investigators Association, Vice President of the New York State AFL-CIO, and the various leadership roles he undertook with those organizations. His skills, insights and ability to identify key issues and facilitate effective responses and resolutions are invaluable assets to the Firm and its clients.
Before becoming associated with the Firm, Mr. Tynan worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and improve the work conditions for members of the NYSPIA, oversaw contract negotiations and various labor disputes and arbitration matters, and was instrumental in efforts to secure communications, life safety, and forensic equipment for the BCI. He was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award by Onondaga Community College in 2002, and the International Narcotics Enforcement Officers Association Award of Honor in 1986. He served on the New York State Committee on Health Benefits, the United Way SEFA campaign, the New York State Police Trooper Foundation Board, Central New York Ronald McDonald House Board, and also volunteers for the Central New York Make A Wish Foundation and is a member of the West Genesee Athletic Club.
Mr. Tynan graduated with honors from Onondaga Community College, and obtained his bachelor's degree from SUNY Oswego. His is a doctoral candidate at the Syracuse University School of Education, where he also earned a master's degree.
