Ms. Cole's primary focus is municipal law. She has experience in a broad range of municipal issues including statutory and regulatory interpretation and compliance, open meetings and Freedom of Information Act requirements, enforcement actions, zoning and compliance, analysis and drafting of local laws, subdivision and development matters, and labor and employment.
Ms. Cole provides comprehensive, day-to-day legal representation and guidance to The Wladis Law Firm's municipal clients, their town boards and planning boards. She handles all their tax assessment challenges, and, drawing upon her extensive background in New York State Environmental Quality Review Act interpretation and application, she ensures client compliance with all SEQRA related matters. In addition, she brings to the Firm expertise in collections and creditors' rights, drafting motions and pleadings, and making oral arguments.
Ms. Cole graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College with a B.A. in English. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She graduated Cum Laude from Syracuse University College of Law where she was named a Chancellor's Scholar, served as a research assistant, was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and participated in competitions at the College of Law.
Ms. Cole is a member of the Justinian Society. Her community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse, New York.
